Introducing our newest member, Deandra Wells. With a decade of experience under her belt, Deandra Wells has been transforming hair into art since before she realized it could be her career. As a proud Indigenous hairstylist, Deandra’s connection to hair goes beyond styling—it’s a deep-rooted tradition and a way to express her culture. Her passion for hairstyling is evident in every look she creates, especially when she brings her Indigenous heritage to life through her work.

Deandra’s journey into the world of hair began with a love for the craft that blossomed into a full-fledged career. Licensed to work in both Arizona and Canada, she’s constantly expanding her skills, recently enhancing her repertoire with training in Aili Puss Education and Musta glam waves.

One of Deandra’s most memorable salon moments involves a heartwarming “peek-a-boo” surprise with an elderly client that left her in fits of laughter—just one example of the joy she brings to her clients.

If Deandra were a hair superhero, she’d be the ultimate braiding master, able to create intricate, tight, and clean braids in seconds. She’s currently on a journey to master avant-garde hairstyles, experimenting with hair paper to create bold, innovative shapes and foundations.

When she’s not crafting stunning styles, you can find Deandra spending quality time with her husband Sheldon and their beloved furbaby Raiden. Her heart is always drawn back home to Southern Alberta, where family and the beauty of the land offer the perfect retreat.
