Vanessa Passley

Vanessa joins us from Tofino, BC, off the coast of Vancouver Island.  Living in this popular surf town inspired her approach to hairstyling in many ways.  One of her signature styles is fresh-off-the-beach hair created through textured cutting often with the use of her razor.  Her cuts mostly style themselves due to her keen attention to detail when wielding her tools.  Working with a variety of wave and curl patterns allow her styles to be unique to her clients’ needs.  To complement such cuts, Vanessa’s next specialty is a perfect balayage.  Whether it’s subtly sun-kissed or contrasted for greater dimension, the results are always sublime.

Next in her proficiency is formal styling garnered through the multitudes of weddings and elopements Vanessa had the pleasure of working on in Tofino.  Clean and relaxed with soft movement would best describe her modern, bohemian-style updos.

Graduating at the top of her class at Ottawa Academy over 20 years ago prompted a great interest in her education.  She has had the privilege of studying at both the Aveda Institute and Vidal Sassoon Academy in Toronto as well as with Bumble & bumble in NYC.  And it doesn’t stop there… Vanessa continues to grow her skill set and offerings.
